Your Getaway
You can find the Yellowstone River Lodge on the banks of the Yellowstone River, just a half-an-hour drive from Billings. Tucked away from all the hustle and bustle, Yellowstone River Lodge is comfortingly secluded. The area is teeming with wildlife including deer, waterfowl, fox, pheasant, beavers, hawks, osprey, and bald eagles. On occasion, moose have been observed. There is a large island to explore in addition to the fifty-plus acres surrounding the cabins.
The river access features over a mile of riverfront for fishing. It’s a large bend in the river that has created a large deep fishing hole. There are also Many rock features creating abundant holes for trout to blend with their surroundings. Swimmers will enjoy the sandy beaches along with the slow-moving backwater that lays along what we refer to as the park area. For those looking to stretch their legs, we keep some mowed paths along the spring-fed creek, or if you are looking for something a bit more challenging to hike, there is an island that can be accessed from our property with abundant trails and river views. For A full view, it is a short walk to the park we keep mowed on the banks of the Yellowstone. At the park, people can enjoy the fire pit or just the scenery of the ever-changing river.

Our Home
Dan Sayer was raised along the Yellowstone River, and as a boy spent his summers fishing, swimming, and enjoying time along the river. Dan and his wife Jan were always drawn to the place that is now the Yellowstone River Lodge. After building the main house a neighbor the couple had befriended sold them additional land, opening up a beautiful place with some of the prettiest scenery on all of the Yellowstone River. After they acquired this property, Dan and Jan felt a need to share it with others.
Building the cabins was a very natural progression. After building three cabins over a four-year period. We were asked by many travelers for overnight Accommodation. That lead us to build the riverside guest rooms, it is basically a four Plex with private porches which include a table and chairs, an overhead fan, and lights in front of each unit, with a view of the Yellowstone.
The largest of the three cabins has a separate bedroom, one and a half baths, and a living room with a cathedral ceiling of tongue and groove blue pine. The windows in the living room and dining area that face the river are full height and have a view up and down the river along with the sandstone cliffs and pines that combined make for the most beautiful sunsets, one never tires of. Should you decide to cook, the cabin has a full kitchen or a BBQ on one of the two covered decks.
The Sunset and Springtime cabins, although a bit smaller, boast the same river views also with full height picture windows along with a BBQ, covered deck, and full furnishings inside.
The furnishings are a lot of woodwork with a western flair. All the guestrooms have a king-size bed, a writing desk a dresser, and a nightstand with lamps at the bed. A small fridge with freezer, coffee maker, microwave and a TV.
The ladies like the full-length mirror along with the large vanity with vessel sink. The large shower features a river rock floor with a sit-down bench.
